Mizener's Antiques and Flea Market

Sunday 2 September 2012

Jordan and I had similar upbringings. Many of our summer weekends included being dragged by our parents, with only promises of ice cream to get us through, to flea markets, antique shops, and craft shows. I'm sure both of our six-year-old selves would be bewildered to know that we now actually choose to do these things on a rare day off together. Today's destination was Mizener's Antiques and Flea Market on Highway 5, just a short drive from downtown. We both walked away empty handed, but it was a great morning of sifting through old picture books and reminiscing about toys we spotted that we once owned.

  1. Looks like a neat place.

If that is $42 on the Remington I can see why it was left behind.

  2. Now, now Bill :)

Don't be so quick to judge the typewriter by it's price...The Vendors at Mizener's love to haggle...it is a part of the experience :)
(Not even sure if that was the price on the item ~yet if it was, there is a reason ~ and once the negotiating begins ~ you would be suprised.)

    Have an awesome day!
